Policies

General Policy

By accepting these policies (including the deposit and Cancellation policy, you accept / opt in to receive emails from Sun Peaks Lodge to the email address provided. These emails will be needed to confirm you reservation and/or to communicate with you for pre-arrival information, follow up surveys and future offers for Sun Peaks Lodge. You email address will not be shared with anyone. *For arrivals between May1st and September 30th please phone 250-578-7878 if you are planning to arrive after 6pm. *Taxes & Fees 5% GST, 8% Hotel Room Tax and 3% Municipal Tax. *Declined Credit cards If credit cards are declined for payment, guest will be contacted by phone or email to provide a valid credit card. If no valid credit card is received, the reservation will be cancelled without further notice. *Please note that the Sun Peaks Lodge does accept third party billing, on approved authorization. *Rates Are Based On Two people in a king or 2 queen room Specials, Deals or any promotional packages are only valid for new bookings *Maximum occupancy per room King bed room 2 adults and 1 child, 2 Queen bed room 4 guests with a max. of 2 adults *Children 15 years old and under stay free in parents room with existing bedding. *Guests 16 years and older are considered adults and must be booked in as adults. Extra charge will apply. Should children 16 years or older have been booked as children, the extra adult charge ($40.00 plus tax) will be applied to the invoice upon checkout. Cribs are available $10 per night plus tax. Subject to availability. *Minimum Night Stays Minimum night stay requirements may apply. Minimum Age Requirement Clients must be 19 years of age in order to reserve rooms at the Sun Peaks Lodge. There is no refund for reservations made. Parking $15 plus tax per night for underground parking based on availability $10 plus tax per night for outside parking based on availability Limited overflow parking at P2. Guests may park in designated spaces only with a valid parking pass from the Hotel, based on availability. Smoking Policy Smoking is not permitted. Pet Policy No pets permitted. Please note the Hot Tub, Steam Room, Sauna are not available between April 1 and December 8 and "The Steakhouse" is closed between April 1 and December 8. * Credit cards: Sun Peaks Lodge does accept visa and MasterCard only.

Written Cancellation Policy

*Summer cancellation/payment policy: -Regular rates with 2 day/48 hour policy: Cancellations made outside of 48 hours before arrival time (2pm local hotel time) are free of charge. Any cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival time are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the entire stay booked, including taxes and fees. -Prepay Rates/Packages Policy: Non refundable, Prepay and Advance Purchase Rates and Packages which require prepayment, the full payment, including taxes and fees is processed at the time of booking and is non refundable in case of any cancellation or changes. -No-shows and early check-outs are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the entire stay booked including taxes. Cancellation fees will be charged without notice to the credit card on file. If credit cards are declined for payment, guest will be contacted by phone or email to provide a valid credit card. If no valid credit card is receive, the reservation will be cancelled without further notice. Upon check in, a picture ID and a credit card has to be provided. A $100.00 pre-authorization will be charged to the card, which will be released on departure day, if no room damage has occurred. No-shows/early check-outs are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the entire stay booked, including taxes. Prepayments will not be refunded and cancellation fees will be charged to the card provided. *Winter cancellation/payment policy: -A prepayment of the first night's room / package charge including taxes and fees is processed at the time of booking and is non-refundable if cancelled. The remaining payment balance based on current taxes at time of the payment will be charged to the credit card provided at least 30 days prior to arrival and is non-refundable in case of any cancellation. -Prepay Rates/Packages and regular rates within 30 days of arrival: Non refundable Prepay/ Advance Purchase Rates / Packages and bookings made within 30 days of arrival; the full payment, including taxes and fees is processed at the time of booking and is non refundable in case of any cancellation or changes. If no valid credit card is receive, the reservation will be cancelled without further notice. ALL DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS AND CONFIRMATIONS FOR ACCOMMODATIONS ARE TAKEN AND PROVIDED BY SUN PEAKS LODGE. Payment Policy: *VISA and MASTERCARD only are accepted. The card holder must be the guest of the reservation. *Maximum one credit card per reservation. With new credit card security policies the CCV security code might be required at the Sun Peaks Lodge. Hotel Front desk might contact you directly to receive it. Upon check in, a picture ID and a credit card has to be provided. A $100.00 pre-authorization will be charged to the card, which will be released on departure day, if no room damage has occurred. No-shows/early check-outs are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the entire stay booked, including taxes. Prepayments will not be refunded and cancellation fees will be charged to the card provided. Prepay rates/packages: Full payment incl. taxes is taken at the time of the booking and is non refundable in case of any cancellation. Winter: November 1 - April 30, A prepayment of the first night's room / package charge including taxes and fees is processed at the time of booking and is non-refundable in case of any cancellation. The remaining payment balance will be charged to the credit card provided 30 days prior to arrival and is non-refundable in case of any cancellation. Prepay, advance purchase packages and bookings made within 30 days of arrival, the full room / package charge including taxes and fees is processed at the time of booking and is non refundable in case of any cancellation. No shows or early check-outs are non refundable. We highly recommend travel and cancellation insurance.

Summer check in: between 2pm and 6pm. Please call 250-578-7878 ext. 0 to arrange late arrivals with the Manager on Duty. Winter check in: after 3pm

Children

Children 15 yrs and under stay free in same room as the parents with existing bedding. Children 16 years and older are considered adults and the extra adult charge will be applied upon checkout, if those older children have been booked as children.
